The early 90s was a golden age for television. Here are five shows that left a lasting impression on me, each one shaping my love for storytelling in different ways.

1. Twin Peaks

David Lynch’s surreal mystery was unlike anything on TV. The eerie setting, strange characters, and twisting plot made every episode feel like a dream I never wanted to wake up from.

2. The X-Files

The truth is out there! Every week, Mulder and Scully introduced me to government conspiracies, alien encounters, and bizarre mysteries. It made me want to believe.

3. Seinfeld

A show about nothing, yet everything. The humor of Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer became part of my daily life, and to this day, I find myself quoting their absurd adventures.

4. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Will Smith’s charisma made this sitcom unforgettable. It was funny, heartfelt, and at times, deeply moving. I still hear the theme song in my head.

5. Batman: The Animated Series

More than just a cartoon, this show had style, depth, and unforgettable stories. Kevin Conroy’s Batman and Mark Hamill’s Joker set the gold standard for superhero storytelling.

These shows defined an era and shaped my love for TV. What were your favorites?
